Rhykker, Bluddshed, Anthony Evans all have good guides for builds this season and guides on how to start out the season (I recommend Bluddshed for the starting guides. That is true if your build is CDR dependent, but not all builds are. Edit below a comment lists blue for helm for CDR. So equip that and start leveling it as soon as you get it. Bane of the Powerful will be the first one you get and it will be good for you to use initially. Then you will always you legendary gems in these slots. Jewelry (Rings and Neck) - Primary stat gems until you get the legendary gems you needs. If you arent doing enough damage and dying, lower the difficulty and get better gear. If you are having trouble killing stuff but not dying, go primary stat gems. Rule of thumb is if you are killing stuff easy but dying easy, go tanky gems. Early on you most likely will just want to put better versions of the primary stat gems in your gear, but depending on how squishy you are, you may want to swap them out with Blue gems (or in some rare cases purple gems). By this time the Crit Damage should offer significantly more damage scaling.Įverything else other than jewelry - This is dependent on your build.
Earlier you had nothing to help your crit chance so red was better.
This may not have to wait all the way to 70. This will change later.Įverything else - Whatever gem gives your class's primary Stat. This will change as you level and progress, but I will try to give a decent break down.
